MONO CONGO TRAIL

Few places like the Howler Monkey Trail offers in a little space of the dry tropics the tremendous opportunity to appreciate the wild flora and fauna, one of  the richest and changing ecosystems throughout the year. Just a few steps from the Villas and over 600 meters, you may have at hand, families of howler monkeys, porcupines, opossums, anthill bear and at least 71 species of vertebrates, of which 27 are mammals, 13 amphibians and reptiles (including lizards and turtles), and 31 species of magnificent multicolored birds and nice song.

Howler Monkey Trail, besides the wildlife, which is not included a variety of insects such as bright blue Morpho butterfly, cannot lose the opportunity to meet the equally rich floristic species diversity, including Pochote with its thick crust covered with spines and giant Jobos (Spondias mombin), which delight howler monkeys at different times of year. Enjoy the natural color and the stridency of the Howler Monkey Trail. Then you can say you knew the dry tropics of Nicaragua.
